Business Development / Lead Generation
Assist locally in the development of new air freight business, including the commercial policy and future strategic business direction by working closely with the Branch / Regional Head and the sales team.
To establish and maintain a vast knowledge-based covering all aspects of freight forwarding locally, including the legal & administrative framework, competitor activity and potential client aspirations
To drive the business for maximum utilization of existing facilities on an on-going basis. Oversee and support development of detailed sales/project proposals and presentations based on requirements and estimated cost in accordance with risk, quality standards and value addition to the customer.
Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients in the local market in order to improve profitability, and increase client tie-in.
Continue to initiate and build upon external relationships through industry affiliate associations and events to generate business leads through prospecting and networking.
Maintain relations at the senior level with airlines, customs clearance and other freight forwarders for future collaboration of spot rates and requirements for obtaining their cargo and stock.

Negotiate the buying and selling rates for air freight import/export.
To work closely with the customs for DDU and DDP airfreight.
To manage operations for other / remote locations and branches where there is no physical presence on a Pan India basis.
Ensure that all team members as well as branch sales personnel are trained on the information systems that are required to support the business
Manage documentation officers/ executives
Train and upgrade team members to handle multiple responsibilities.
